You nailed the production on this. It's so full and artfully produced to bring out the best in each element. I recognise some of these samples from your previous work, including one of the NGADM songs you submitted a few years back. ^_^
Awesome as always!!! Just what I expect from you.

garlagan responds:

long time no see!
oh maybe it was Deflect? it's similar to that one, hence the name :p
thank you MR!!

Ah man I've always loved this song. Never liked any of their other songs but this one was special AND it was in Resident Evil. Double win.
You guys nailed it! Great, GREAT guitars, full and heavy. The vocals are -sick- gosh. So much grit in that scream, amazing. She has a lovely tone too that shows her potential. (The start was lost because of the production.)

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Cheers for the listen and review, brother! I'm glad you dug it!! We're full on band with her, now and she's re doing a lot of my stuff, here, with her grit and voice and it's fucking killer!!

The beginning, (seek me part) was lower production to mimic the way KSE did it with "megaphone" effect...but that particular effect didn't work too well on a girls voice, for this song. So we just lowered the quality.

Thanks again, man. Very much appreciated, from a big hitter in metal, like you!!!

Awesome intro! So full of energy! It sets the song off so damn well.
I love harmonies in vocals and in lead guitar so it was a treat to listen to this.
You lost half a star because it's not particularly well produced but don't let that stop you. This is awesome stuff!!!!!!

Ritz190 responds:

thanks alot for the review! any pointers on how to better produce my work? I'd love some advice!

Drop C is definitely my favourite tuning, it's the only one I use, in fact. Some interesting riffs and it's mixed clearly. I can hear the bass chugging away at the bottom too. I enjoyed the harmonies. Mostly precise playing too although there were a couple of moments when it was -slightly- out.
Very heavy and could do with some metallica style vocals, a bit Seek and Destroy, a bit Master of Puppets at times.

TSRBand responds:

Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed it :)

It was such a blast to work on this with everyone. You all have such beautiful voices with unique qualities. From Seneka's sultry warm tones to Finn's clear and smooth vibrato, from Ceevro's deep and powerful bass to Quinn's complimentary pure highs, ChronoNomad's powerful grit... Just awesome!!!

Ceevro responds:

And some guy who just sat behind a keyboard and hit the spacebar lots! ;)

Good song! Catchy and full of interesting parts. In terms of arrangement and composition it... rocks. The mix isn't great though, the drums sound "boxy" (like they're in a box) and the guitar and bass parts sound fake or unrealistic.
I don't have time-stamps so I can't point out things directly but:
- I like how it amps up before choruses
- I like the low harmony on the vocal line "rules inside" etc. although the timing could have been fixed for greater impact.
- Over all, great vibe throughout.

FinnMK responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Some of it I'm totally on-board with: I've experimented with recording guitar from an amp as well as DI + amp plugin (which is what I used on We Are Heroes) and I still haven't gotten a sound I love.

Bass I'm surprised at - it's DI'd in, then only has minor effects on top. Could you be more specific about what sound unrealistic? Logistically, it's about as realistic as it gets, unless I were to record directly from the amp which IMO gives a worse sound.

As far as the drum stuff goes, do you think it's the reverb causing that boxy sound? Not 100% clear on what you mean here.

Thanks again! This is my first time attempting to record and mix something in the hard rock realm, so this feedback is great.

(and it sounds awesome!)
Good job on this track, sounds very pro. You could try shortening the decay on the snare a bit and it would still sound as good but less messy.
Awesome guitars and lead.

RobSoundtrack responds:

Thanks duuuuuude
Much appreciated

I love this, it's so elegant and beautiful. You mixed the instruments really well, just the vocals don't quite fit in with the rest - consider that if everything is quite dry sounding then your vocals need to be too.
I read the description too, it's really sad. I will never forget our covers together. In fact I was listening to them just last week thinking we should do another (Behind Blue Eyes or something...).
I won't forget you buddy!

Ceevro responds:

Dude, I'd LOVE to collab again! Problem is the new rules for the Audio Portal! We can't do covers without permission from the original artist (go ahead, TRY to get ahold of Paul Simon)!

If we collab, we gotta do it with original material, and I don't think I'd have nearly the buy-in.

BUT if you wanna work on some stuff, hit me up! You know how to reach me!

What a colossal project! So many good riffs and ideas too. Congrats. :)

JDawg00100 responds:

Thank you! :D

Impressive - brutal vocals with just-as-heavy riffs. Nice work, I hope the new band works out for you.

Thanks dude! :D
